SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT, a global player in the field of integrated energy solutions and a member of the Olympia Group owned by Panos Germanos, participated in an anti-bribery roundtable discussion hosted by TRACE International, the world-renowned anti-bribery organization, in Athens on 16 September 2016. The discussion was led by TRACE President Alexandra Wrage, an international leader in the field of anti-bribery compliance. The event was attended by companies from across industry sectors, and SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT was represented by Tania Chadouli, Legal Affairs and Compliance Director and Dimitrios Goumas, Head of Compliance Office, Board of Directors Non Executive Member.

The event focused on best practices for ensuring commercial transparency, as well as developments in the field of anti-bribery compliance. The participants exchanged views on the Greek economic reality and entrepreneurship, the current legislative framework and ways to improve business ethics and promote transparency in corporate practices. Alexandra Wrage offered many specific examples concerning the implementation of relevant anti-bribery practices in Greece and SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT representatives discussed innovative tools developed by SUNLIGHT to increase commercial transparency, in addition to those from TRACE.

The participants unanimously agreed that the adoption of measures to prevent and combat bribery and corruption in Greece could prove significant in dealing with the economic crisis. Adopting training tools for executives and devoting resources to building effective compliance programs are essential as a means to this end, and TRACE will prove an invaluable support in achieving it.
