Leader in the global industry of batteries

SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT SA is in its fourth decade of operations, “building bridges” with the Greek and international markets. The company is active in the field of integrated energy solutions, specialising in the development, production and distribution of batteries and energy storage systems for industrial and consumer applications, as well as high-tech applications.

Through a purely outward-looking business strategy, it plays a significant role in international business, exporting 84% of its product to more than 100 countries worldwide.

In its third decade of steady growth, it is ranked amongst the top producers of energy storage solutions globally, offering integrated and reliable solutions in extremely demanding sectors, such as Industry, Supply Chain and Transportation, Telecommunications, Construction, Information Technology, Infrastructure and Defence.

The  message “Reliable Battery Solutions” accurately reflects its vision to become the most reliable partner in the battery market, and the first choice of its customers, working with integrity and generating value throughout its entire corporate ecosystem.

The heart of SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT is the ultra-modern industrial complex at Neo Olvio, Xanthi. This complex includes the production plant and logistics centre, as well as a research centre, where its innovative products are developed. The specialised R&D department is staffed by highly qualified Greek scientists, while in the context of know-how exchange, it collaborates with other research centres from around the world.

It is worth noting that, over recent years, the company has systematically invested in expanding its network and its cutting edge facilities, which operate in accordance with the strictest international standards.

Implementing the principle of a circular economy, in 2015, SYSTEM SUNLIGHT opened the SUNLIGHT recycling plant in the Komotini Industrial Area, the most advanced lead-acid battery recycling plant in Europe. The new plant provides a large portion of the lead-based raw materials, achieving high environmental performance.

The SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT industrial unit has 840 employees in total, while creating 5,073 indirect jobs in the region.

The company represents a point of reference on a global level, while continuing to support the domestic economy.
