The team of Olympia

The Management Team of Olympia Group plays a determinant role in all levels of strategic and corporate planning within the companies, which constitute investments of the Group. Through this, Olympia Group contributes decisively its knowhow, specialized knowledge and experience.

The constant monitoring of the market’s dynamic conditions, the new trends and the developments with regard to the contemporary way of doing business, provide the Management with the ability to respond to new challenges, to foresee opportunities as well as to utilize the special characteristics of the companies’ assets in which the Group invests.

By pursuing the creation of a stable and safe financial and commercial basis, which ensures the achievement of corporate goals, the Management Team of Olympia Group has the necessary capital at its disposal in order to finance fully the investment plan of the Group’s subsidiaries.
Ioannis Karagiannis was appointed the executive Chairman of the Olympia Group in 2016. Prior to this he was the Advisor to the Management for the Olympia Group, a post he held since 2010. He joined Germanos SA in 1994 as Commercial Director of the Germanos stores, before becoming General Manager of Germanos SA in 1997. In 2001 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company, a role he held for nine years.

Mr. Karagiannis holds a BSc from Greece’s National Technical University in Chemical Engineering and also holds an MBA.
Robby Bourlas holds a BSc and an MSc from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Cornell University, New York, whereas he holds an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston. He started his career in 1999 as Senior Analyst in First Manhattan Consulting Group in New York. In 2003 he moved to London and joined easyGroup of Stelios Hajiioannou. He left the company in 2006 as Commercial Director. In 2006 he joined Olympia Group of Companies as Sales Director of Public. In 2008 he assumed the duties of Managing Director at Public and became the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in 2012. In 2015, he assumed the position of Chairman and CEO at Westnet. Since February 2018 he is the CEO of Olympia Group.
Ioannis Pantoleon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a postgraduate degree with an emphasis on Financial Management and Accounting from the University of Manchester. He possesses extensive and long-term experience in the fields of Economics, international business and investments. From 1999 to 2013 he held the position of Group Chief Financial Officer in Intralot, whereas from 2014 to 2015 he worked as Group Chief Operations Officer in the same company. In 2015, he assumed the duties of Group Chief Financial Officer in Marinopoulos Group of Companies. Since February 2017 he is the Group Chief Financial Officer of Olympia Group of Companies.
Georgios Xirouchakis has been the Director of Legal Services of the Olympia Group since 2008. Prior to this he spent two years working for the legal services division of Public (2006-2008) having joined the legal services division of Germanos SA in 2001.

Before joining Germanos SA, Mr. Xirouchakis worked in a number of legal firms in Athens, specialising in civil and commercial law. He holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Crete and a BSC in Law from the University of Athens. He also has an MBA with a major in Finance from the University of Leicester.
Anthi Trokoudi is the Director of Communication and Corporate Relations for the Olympia Group. She joined Germanos SA in 2003 as Communication Director, a role she held for three years. Prior to this she spent three years at Warner Roadshow (Warner Bros) where she was Public Relations Manager (2001-2003). Ms. Trokoudi began her career at LAMBRAKIS PRESS publications in 1996.

Ms. Trokoudi holds a BSc from the Department of Communication and Media of Panteion Univeristy.
Ioakeim Hamamtzoglou holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and a Graduate Diploma and M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Concordia in Montreal, Canada. He has worked as an executive level employee in large corporations in Greece and abroad (Canada). Before joining Olympia Group of Companies, he was Director of Development and Services in a company member of the Intracom Group (Eurocom Expertise SA). Currently he is Olympia Group CIO.
Anastasios Thermos has been Advisor to the Management of the Olympia Group since 2009. He joined Germanos SA in 1995 as Head Accountant before becoming Chief Financial Officer of Sunlight Systems in 2006.

Mr. Thermos has a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus and is a member of the Central Administration of the Economic Chamber of Greece.
Georgios Papanastasiou holds a BSc Degree in Architectural Engineering with studies in Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’ Architecture de Marseille in France and with an emphasis in Urban Planning and Bioclimatic Construction. He has systematically worked since 1982 in the study and construction of projects, whereas he possesses strong experience in a broad range of Building Works. At the same time he was Member of the Secondary Architectural Control Committee and of the Administration Committee of Architectures Club. In 2003 he undertook the duties of Technical Advisor of GERMANOS SA by implementing the Development of GERMANOS Network of Stores, whereas since 2006 he has worked as Technical Advisor of Olympia Group implementing the Development of PUBLIC Network of Stores as well as other construction projects.
