Expansion of Westnet in Poland

July 5, 2021

Westnet announces that it starts its business in the Polish market with the establishment of its subsidiary in Poland, WESTNET DISTRIBUTION POLAND sp. z o.o.

After an especially successful course in Greece for over 15 years and its significant expansion in Cyprus in 2017 thus covering the needs of the Cypriot market with local presence, Westnet is now taking a new big step with the expansion in Poland, a large European market. The company’s presence in Poland begins with the commercialization of consumer batteries, aiming to increase the market shares in a product category where Westnet has shown a strong footprint in recent years.

Today, Westnet is the leading distributor of Toshiba consumer batteries worldwide and an exclusive distributor in Europe, Middle East and Africa, reflecting its intense extroversion and multinational aspect. In this context, the new expansion is part of the company’s strategic planning for further development in new geographies, aiming to offer to its Polish customers the added value that has made it a reliable partner in more than 60 countries in EMEA.

At the same time, it is expected to further strengthen its position through the synergies that will arise in the other product categories where Westnet operates. With competitive products, value-added services and excellent customer service, Westnet’s vision is to drive the developments in the marketing and distribution of products and services, developing mutually beneficial relationships with its partners.

The General Manager of Westnet, George Daviotis, stated: “Our long-term growth and our strong position in the Greek and Cypriot market confirm the success of our strategic choices. Now, we continue dynamically the implementation of our strategic plan, investing in our development in new markets abroad. We believe in the dynamics of the Polish market, and our primary goal is to provide quality services to our partners, increasing their competitiveness and contributing to their growth“.
