Public: Expanding its Store Network with 3 New Large-Format Stores This Year
- 7 new large-format stores to join the network by 2026, as part of Public’s three-year growth plan
- 10 stores renovated with new small and large home appliances departments
- 55 out of 64 stores to offer home appliances across Greece and Cyprus by the end of 2026
Public Group is continuing the implementation of its €10 million three-year investment plan, expanding and upgrading its physical store network across Greece and Cyprus. By the end of the year, three new large-format stores will join the network, strengthening Public’s presence in strategic locations across Attica and the Greek islands. Public is further expanding its retail footprint, which, together with the expansion of existing stores, will exceed 100,000 sq.m. in total floor space.
The new stores in Ilion and Heraklion, Crete, are already delivering strong performance, reaffirming the strength of the Public brand and its positive reception in local markets. Building on this momentum, three new Public stores in Smart Park, Patissia and a second large-format store in Corfu will open their doors during the year, offering consumers an extensive range of technology products and home appliances, available for immediate purchase.
In addition, two stores have already been agreed and are scheduled to open in early 2026 in Attica and the Peloponnese. A further three stores in Greece and Cyprus, including Limassol, are also part of the overall development plan, bringing the total number of new stores to 10.
During the summer, the renovated stores in Marousi (49 Kifisias Avenue) and Agia Paraskevi (402 Mesogeion Avenue) will also officially open, featuring dedicated home appliances departments with a new look and a strong focus on the customer experience. Public Peristeri (27 Ethnikis Antistaseos Street) is expanding with a new floor dedicated to large home appliances and technology products.
At the same time, renovations are also planned for both Public stores in Patras, with completion scheduled for the autumn. The addition of home appliances departments to the stores in Piraeus, Ioannina and Volos has further strengthened the overall product offering, providing customers in these regions with comprehensive home appliance solutions, combined with Public’s flexible payment and delivery services.
Overall, the Public store network will comprise 64 stores, of which 55 will offer home appliances.
Public is also continuing to invest in innovative services. Through its popular “Everything Interest-Free, No Card Required” service, customers can make purchases in interest-free instalments of up to 36 months, directly addressing households’ evolving needs for greater financial flexibility.
With the “All in One Delivery” service, customers can benefit from delivery and installation of their home appliance in a single visit, with the option to have their old appliance collected and receive a recycling voucher.
At the same time, the “Lowest Price Guarantee” provides additional peace of mind when shopping, with Public crediting the difference to the customer’s Wallet if the same product is found at a lower price within 14 days at another organised retailer.
Finally, through the Public+ loyalty programme, members earn Public Wallet rewards on their purchases, which can be redeemed on future purchases, further strengthening the sense of value and the long-term relationship with the brand.
Public continues to implement its investment plan consistently, reaffirming its commitment to a strong physical presence and bringing the Public experience to neighbourhoods across Greece and Cyprus.
