Silver award in the category “Other Industries – Energy Storage” for complying with high Health & Safety standards

SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT, owned by Panos Germanos, won the silver award at this year’s Health & Safety Awards for its active commitment to providing a safe working environment, which safeguards the health of its employees.

SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT shined among companies starring in the Greek business arena, in a ceremony held on 30 September, in the presence of important personalities from all sectors of the business world. More specifically, the company won the silver award in the category “Other Industries – Energy Storage” of the Health & Safety Awards 2014, organized by the company Boussias Communications, under the auspices of HIOHS.

Since 2004, SUNLIGHT has been applying an integrated Health & Safety System based on the OHSAS 18001 standard. This system aims to support, organize, implement and continuously improve models and practices, so that the operation of the company meets all the requirements of the applicable Greek and European legislation and at the same time the highest quality requirements, minimizing the chances of an accident or another harmful incident, especially for its employees at the company’s factory in Xanthi. In parallel, as a member of Eurobat (Association of European Automotive and Industrial Battery), SUNLIGHT has an active participation in all relevant fora and continuously monitors international developments.

The HR Director of SUNLIGHT, Dr. Konstantinos Georgiadis, made the following statement “This award is a great honor for us and is the result of collective effort.
