Westnet, a member of the Olympia Group of Companies and a leading distributor of IT and technology products in Greece and Cyprus, received an important distinction in the context of the awards “Gold Protagonists of the Greek Economy 2010-2020”. The event was organized by Direction Business Network under the auspice of the Ministry of Development and Investments, aiming to highlight the companies that stood out for their financial performance in the decade 2010 to 2020.

Westnet was distinguished as Greek Business Champion 2010-2020, in a category that rewarded the companies which managed to increase their turnover and earnings before tax more than 50% comparing the fiscal year 2010 with that of 2019.

The strategy of Westnet to invest in the addition of new product categories is a key factor for this achievement. The gradual expansion over this decade into markets such as mobility, accessories, peripherals, gaming, television, consumer batteries and home appliances is part of a long-term and fruitful plan. In parallel, the expansion in the Cyprus market in 2017 and the further development of exports, with the company’s business now extending in more than 60 countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa, have contributed significantly to this rise.
