Kilkis, 04.01.2022 – Sunlight Group Energy Storage Systems ( Sunlight Group ), a technology company that specializes in integrated and innovative energy storage solutions for industrial and off-road applications, closed in 2021. The company signed an agreement to acquire 70% of Technoform, a company based in Kilkis that is active in the design and manufacture of high-tech molds and components.
The agreement was signed on December 30, 2021 by the CEO of Sunlight Group Mr. Lambros Bisalas , the President and CEO of Technoform Mr. George Dokouzgiannis , and the Vice President and CEO Ms. Theodosia Markopoulou , whose family owns 30% of the company.
Commenting on the agreement, Mr. Bisalas stated : “With the acquisition agreement of 70% of Technoform, we deepen our already excellent and long-term cooperation. At Sunlight Group , we focus our acquisition and merger program on value creation from the autonomous development of the companies in which we participate, while strengthening Sunlight ‘s global position. Our vision is for Technoform to continue to grow, regardless of its relationship with Sunlight , expanding its customer base in Greece and abroad. With the support of Sunlight , Technoformis going to implement an ambitious investment plan in order to expand its product portfolio and become more internationally competitive, through further automation of production. The stay in the company of the Dokouzgiannis family, and especially of the very hopeful new generation, fills us with optimism for the future. At the same time, we support the increase of employment and the strengthening of the local economy in Kilkis, as only for 2022 Technoform plans to increase its human resources by 30%. “

After the excellent financial performance in the first half of 2021, but also the estimates for the end of the year with an increase of 50% in turnover, Sunlight Group continues to implement its business plan. A business plan designed with a five-year horizon to expand Sunlight’s productivity into batteries and lead-acid and lithium-ion energy storage systems. To this end, it invests millions in its facilities in Greece and abroad , in equipment, automated production and assembly lines, Research & Development, human resources, as well as acquisitions and mergers.
