SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT: Entrance in the market of consumer batteries of Nigeria

May 4, 2017

The company SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT, member of Olympia Group established by Panos Germanos, continues its successful and extrovert course in the international markets through the expansion of its partnership with Toshiba in the market of Nigeria. Specifically, through the partner company Bisedge, which is based in the above country, Systems Sunlight enters into the domestic market of consumer batteries.

The new partnership fully utilizes the new series of products that was launched in co-operation with Toshiba, targeting markets which demand an especially competitive pricing policy – such as the markets of Africa and Eastern Europe. Nigeria is the most populated country in Africa and the seventh most populated country in the world, the 21st largest economy globally, whereas due to the lack of energy related infrastructure, it has become one of the most important markets for consumer batteries.

V. Bilis, Chief Executive Officer of the company, stated the following: “We are especially delighted for the expansion of our agreement with Toshiba in the markets of Africa, with which we fulfill our vision calling for a strong extrovert growth model. With the expansion of our co-operation, we create new growth prospects in the field of consumer batteries, in a continent demonstrating strong demand for such products.

It is worth noting that Systems Sunlight constitutes the largest international distributor of Toshiba consumer batteries for 30 years now, whereas it recently undertook the representation of the latter in the region of Africa, targeting mainly the market of Nigeria and also the markets of Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia and Cameroon.
